Nguyen Chi
Nguyen Chi Hieu is 9 years old and is the oldest son in a poor family with 5 members. His mother and father are farmer and a brick layer respectively. Hieu is attending Mac Dinh Chi Primary School in Quang Nam province. With his mother taking care of the new born baby, the entire burden is on the father’s shoulders. At the beginning of new school year, Hieu’s parents had to borrow money from their neighbours and relatives to buy children’s uniforms, course books, and studying supplies; and pay school fee.
With the support of Children Of Vietnam, Fundraise For Vietnam have paid for the scholarship for Hieu to continue to his studies and give him a chance in life through education.
Ngo Quang
Ngo Quang Vu was born in a poor family in Quang Nam Province and is currently attending Mac DInh Chi Primary School. Vu’s father passed away when he was born and is raised by his single mother who is depending on a small rice paddy to bring income to the family. His fifty-three-year-old mother suffers from severe spondylosis, which affects her working capacity and affects her income. On a day-to-day basis, his mother hopes to have enough food for both of them. As you can imagine, school fees are a big issue and at the beginning of every year, the mother had to ask the old uniforms from the neighbor’s children.
With the support of Children Of Vietnam, Fundraise For Vietnam have paid for the scholarship for Vu to continue to his studies and give him a chance in life through education.
Le Thi Thu Lan
Le Thi Thu Lan is the third daughter in a crowded family with six members. Both of Lan’s parents are farmers and belong to the poverty group of the village, Quang Nam Province. Lan is attending Mac Dinh Chi Primary School. With low income, Lan’s parents have to borrow money from their neighbours and relatives to buy uniforms, course books, and studying supplies; and pay tuition fee.

Huynh Quoc Bao
Huynh Quoc Bao grew up without the love of a father and is brought up by his single mother. He currently attends Mac Dinh Chi Primary School, Quang Nam Province. Since Bao’s mother gave birth to her second baby, she has become more reliant on only one small rice paddy to provide income. Sometimes, it is not enough for their daily meals. With financial issues, Bao’s mother had to ask her neirghbours for old uniform, course books and school supplies.
With the support of Children Of Vietnam, Fundraise For Vietnam have paid for the scholarship for Bao to continue his studies and give him a chance in life through education.
Pham Thanh Thai
Pham Thanh Thai is 8 years old and is the oldest son in a poor family. Both of his parents are famers and his family belongs to the poverty group of the village, Quang Nam Province. Thai is attending Mac Dinh Chi Primary School in Quang Nam province. The parents have spent most of their income on Thai’s sister’s operation for inborn heart disease which has impacted his education. With no money for uniform, he is often seen wearing old clothes from the relatives and neighbours. On a day-to-day basis, his parents are hoping for a full meal for Thai after school.
